FFIC stands for Free Fire India Championship Registrations for the Free Fire India Championship Spring have opened for the 2022 season of Free Fire esports in India. The championship’s spring season features a massive prize pool of 1 crore INR. Teams from India and Nepal will compete in the championship, as they did last year.

After the conclusion of the Free Fire Pro League (FFPL): 2021 Winter, the announcement was made today. Chemin Esports took first place in the Pro League, with Total Gaming coming in second.

Registration for FFIC 2022

Registration for the India Championship Spring will be held in the Second Week of February. Here’s the Date Schedule of Registration

Starting of Registration 7th February 2022
Last Date of Registration 11th February 2022

The prize pool for this season’s tournament has been increased by 33.3 percent from last year’s 75 lakhs INR.

The FFPL 2021 Winter finalists also received tickets to the FFIC Spring. The top six teams advanced to the league stage, while the seventh through twelfth teams qualified for the closed qualifiers.

Orangutan Elite (formerly Team Elite), the FFIC 2021 fall champion, did not qualify for the FFPL Winter finals. In the open qualifiers, the team will compete.

Format for the FFIC 2022 Spring

This year, FFIC 2022 will be divided into 3 Formats :

  • Stage 1 : Open Qualifiers
  • Stage 2: Closed Qualifiers
  • Stage 3 : Main Event

Let’s have a quick look at all these 3 formats –

Stage 1 (Open Qualifiers): The tournament’s open qualifiers will take place first, with registered teams competing for a spot in the championship’s second stage.

Stage 2 (Closed Qualifiers): Six teams from the open qualifiers will compete in the closed qualifiers, as well as the teams that finished seventh through twelfth in the FFPL 2021 Winter finals.

Stage 3 (Main Event): The League Stage, Play-Ins, and Finals will all be part of the main event. The league stages will feature the top 12 teams from the closed qualifiers and six teams from the FFPL: Winter Finals. The top six teams from the league stage will advance directly to the Grand Finals, while teams ranked seventh through eighteenth will compete for the remaining six spots in the play-ins.

Prizes of FFIC 2022 Spring

The Top 12 Teams will advance to the Pro League 2022: Summer, which will have a prize pool of 35 lakhs INR. The FFIC Spring winners and runners-up will compete in the Free FIre World Series, which will be held in Sentosa, Singapore later this year in May 2022.
